The United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps
Cadets are young men and women aged 10 through the end of high school who choose adventure, seek challenges, and step outside of their comfort zones. There are two exceptional programs within our ranks designed to foster leadership and growth.
Navy League Cadet Corps
Ages 10 - 13Our "League Cadets" are middle school-aged students who participate in our introductory program. They train in a disciplined environment and advance through ranks.
- Introduction to maritime services and career fields.
- Discipline and team-building in a safe environment.
- Optional week-long “Navy League Orientation” training.
Naval Sea Cadet Corps
Ages 13 - 18Sea Cadets are high school-aged students in our advanced program. There is no requirement to have been a League Cadet prior to joining.
- Advance through ranks mirroring the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard.
- Leadership opportunities and advanced technical training.
- Rigorous physical fitness and international exchange programs.
What We Do
Local Unit Drill
Participate in local Unit Drills, typically meeting one weekend a month. We have over 400 units across the United States, Guam, and Puerto Rico.
Bootcamp & Orientation
Graduate Recruit Training (bootcamp): a fast-paced 7-14 day training focused on basic military instruction and team building across the country.
International Exchange (IEP)
Selected cadets have the unique opportunity to participate in the International Exchange Program (IEP), building relationships with international sea cadets abroad.
Advanced Training Camps
Our cadets attend immersive advanced training camps every summer and winter break across dozens of specialties, including:

Cadet Code of Conduct
The USNSCC Cadet Code of Conduct is a rigorous set of rules and guidelines that all cadets must adhere to. These standards promote discipline, respect, and responsibility, thoroughly outlining the honorable behavior expected while participating in USNSCC activities.
The code covers personal conduct, absolute respect for others, strict adherence to orders, and proudly representing the USNSCC in a positive manner. It is essential for all cadets to understand and follow the Code of Conduct to maintain a safe, disciplined, and respectful environment. Violations can result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal from the elite program.
