COTC’s Top 6
Violating COTC’s Top 6 will be grounds for severe consequences: demotion in ranks, termination from the unit, termination from the USNSCC program, Captain’s Mast, and more.
No Discrimination
We are a color-blind, gender-blind organization. There is no place in Sea Cadets for ignorant biases, racism, sexism, or bigotry. Discrimination of any kind does not belong here and is not tolerated.
No Hazing
Hazing is conduct that causes a Cadet to suffer or be exposed to any activity that is abusive, humiliating, oppressive, or harmful, even if the victim is a willing participant. This behavior is unacceptable.
No Sexual Harassment
A form of discrimination involving unwelcome sexual advances, requests, or contact. This policy is gender neutral. This is not the place for jokes, flirting, or connecting for dates. Leave that at home.
No Fraternization
An unduly familiar relationship between superiors and subordinates that is prejudicial to good order. It creates favoritism. The best way for all of us to succeed at our jobs is to be professional.
No Cadet-to-Cadet Contact
Keep your hands to yourself! Any relationships between Cadets must be professional in all respects. Focus on your mission, and focus on your division’s success.
No Substance Abuse
We have a zero-tolerance policy covering illegal drugs, prescription, and OTC meds. All medications must be turned in and administered by adult staff. Sharing meds is strictly prohibited.
Sailor’s Creed
"I am a United States Sailor.
I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and I will obey the orders of those appointed over me.
I represent the fighting spirit of the Navy and those who have gone before me to defend freedom and democracy around the world.
I proudly serve my country’s navy combat team with HONOR, COURAGE, and COMMITMENT.
I am committed to excellence and the fair treatment of all."
Sea Cadet Oath
“I promise to serve God, honor our flag, abide by the Naval Sea Cadet Corps regulations and carry out the orders of the officers appointed over me, and so conduct myself as to be a credit to myself, my unit, the Naval Sea Cadet Corps, the Navy, and my country.”

Anchors Aweigh
Verse 1
Stand Navy out to sea,
Fight our battle cry;
We'll never change our course,
So vicious foe steer shy-y-y-y.
Roll out the TNT (Boom!),
Anchors Aweigh.
Sail on to victory
And sink their bones to Davy Jones, hooray!
Verse 2
Anchors Aweigh, my boys,
Anchors Aweigh.
Farewell to foreign shores,
We sail at break of day-ay-ay-ay.
Through our last night ashore,
Drink to the foam,
Until we meet once more.
Here's wishing you a happy voyage home.
Verse 3
Blue of the mighty deep:
Gold of God's great sun.
Let these our colors be
Till all of time be done, done, done, done.
On seven seas we learn
Navy's stern call:
Faith, courage, service true,
With honor, over honor, over all.
